Where we stand

Day 1 · 7 October
Review of achievements, financing plan for the Completion Strategy (SAAUE) and official announcements of new financing.
Day 2 · 8 October
Directions of the national strategy to 2035, investment priorities by value chain and launch of the national consultation framework.
Programme
Plenary sessions, financing announcements, private sector panels and discussions with participants.
Provisional programme, subject to change. Day 2 will be finalised when the detailed clean cooking session programme is published.

The implementation of the 2021 commitments and progress on access to modern energy are presented to all stakeholders.

Priority programmes for electricity and clean cooking, together with the Government's financing plan, are shared.

Projects, extensions, financing and partnerships are formalised; new technical, financial and investment support is generated.

Opportunities and participation arrangements for companies, particularly national ones, are presented in detail.

As part of the “Plan Sénégal Émergent”, the Government of Senegal has set itself the goal of providing all citizens with access to reliable electricity, in quantity, quality and at an affordable price by 2025.
One of the first components of this ambition is to raise the electrification rate to 100% by 2025 through major investments in the sector, targeting in particular rural areas where only 42% of the population has access to electricity.
The Government of Senegal has set itself the major objective of achieving universal access to energy in sufficient quality and quantity, at a lower cost and in a sustainable manner, by 2025.
This objective, a catalyst for socio-economic development, is one of the flagship projects of the Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE) and is included as a guiding principle in the 2019-2023 Energy Sector Development Policy Letter.

The Round Table is organised by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum together with the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Planning.
Participation is by invitation. Public institutions, technical and financial partners, private investors and civil society organisations may request accreditation online.
